2024-25 MATCH (FAQS)
1. How do I apply to your program?
We accept applications only through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
-We require 3 Letters of Recommendation.
-We require USMLE and/or COMLEX Transcripts before offering an interview.
-We participate in the National Residency Match Program (NRMP) and abide by their rules and regulations.
2. How many residents do you accept each year to your program?
We accept 13 residents each year.
3. Do you accept international medical graduates?
Yes, we do.
4. Do you sponsor VISAs?
Yes, we will give consideration to candidates who require VISA sponsorship, including H1B and J1 VISAs.
5. Is there a cut-off for graduation?
There is no absolute cut-off date for graduation. However, applicant's experience since graduation will be carefully reviewed.
6. Do you require US clinical experience?
We prefer candidates with US clinical experience but we do not require it. Clinical research experience is given due consideration and may strengthen your application.
7. For applicants from non-US schools, is ECFMG certification required prior to being granted an interview?
We do not require full ECFMG certification prior to an interview being offered, however the pathway to certification must clearly indicate eligibility for current match season.
8. Do you have a cut-off for USMLE scores?
We give preference to applicants with passing scores on the first attempt on ALL steps (i.e. no failures).
9. Do you offer M4 elective rotations (Sub-I's) for currently enrolled medical students?
We do offer Sub-I's for eligible M4 NEOMED students. We have limited availability for learners from outside our NEOMED network, however some openings do become available. For further information please email [email protected]
10. Do you offer rotations for learners who have already graduated from medical school (Observerships or Externships)?
No, we do not offer any externship or observer experiences through CMEF.
