​Sample Rotation Schedule
Each academic year is divided into 4-week blocks.  During most rotations, 1 of the 4 weeks in a block will be scheduled in our Ambulatory Medicine Office.  Those without an outpatient week are marked with an asterisk.*

PGY-1

7 blocks Inpatient General Medicine:
  • 2 weeks Daytime Rounding Team 
  • 1 week Night Float (Aultman) or Intern Basic Skills (Mercy) 
  • 1 week Ambulatory Medicine in Resident Continuity Practice (RCP)

2 blocks MICU (Aultman)      

1 block Emergency Medicine     

1 block Inpatient Cardiology  
(Aultman)*

​1 block Cardiology Consult    

1 block Medicine Subspecialty  

          


PGY-2

5 blocks Inpatient General Medicine:
  • 2 weeks Daytime Rounding Team
  • 1 week Night Float (Aultman) or Night Medicine (Mercy)
  • 1 week Ambulatory Medicine in Resident Continuity Practice (RCP)

2 blocks MICU (Aultman)*

1 block Inpatient Cardiology  (Aultman)*

1 block Back-Up/Jeopardy Coverage and Independent Study

4 blocks Medicine Subspecialty and Non-Internal Medicine Electives, including 1 week of Heme-Onc Basic Skills     ​
PGY-3

​3 blocks Inpatient General Medicine :
  • 2 weeks Daytime Rounding Team
  • 1 week Night Float (Aultman) or Night Medicine (Mercy)
  • 1 week Ambulatory Medicine in Resident Continuity Practice (RCP)

1 block MICU (Aultman)*

1 block Back-Up/Jeopardy Coverage and
   Independent Study

8 blocks Medicine Subspecialty and Non- Internal Medicine Electives

Examples of Medicine Subspecialties: Ambulatory Medicine, Gastroenterology, Geriatrics, Endocrinology, Hematology/Oncology, Hospital Medicine, Infectious Disease, Nephrology, Pulmonology, Rheumatology, etc
